This comprehensive course is designed for those who would like to be completely immersed in the world of Tango. The students will learn about the meaning of the name, its river and port origins, its legendary characters, the tango danced in the “conventillo” and the one danced in a ballroom, the use of “lunfardo”-the language of tango-, tango at its height in Paris, its decadence and its rediscovery in the nineties. They will also discover its poets, music and composers; the singers and the mythical Carlos Gardel.

All classes are tailor-made to suit each student’s needs and are adjusted to his/her level of Spanish. However, intermediate to upper level is recommeded for this course.

The course consists of:

2-hour class about the History of the Tango per day.
1-hour daily tango class per day. The students will learn how to dance Tango and Milonga with a well-qualified couple of Tango dancers and teachers.
All the classes we offer are private and individual.
Visit to Tango ballrooms once a week, accompanied by the Spanish teacher.
Accommodation in the Spanish teacher’s house in a room with private bathroom and air conditioning (heating and refrigeration)
Breakfast and dinner, sharing the typical home-made meals, talking about the Argentinian culture and practise Spanish.
